Pondering the Query Letter

Basically, from the moment that The Fallen was completed, I've been ignoring the rest of the series. I want to get reactions from people about the first book before I move on to write the second book. I have, however, begun to plan the details and plots of the second book. I'm very, very excited about it.

It won't be long before I'm querying agents to represent The Fallen.  While I'm terrified of rejection, I also know that I've put my best effort into the book. My query letter has to reflect that. So, by Sunday, I will have my very first finished query letter.  I'm going to post the basic summary of it here and then I will be sending it off to the six agents that are on my short-list.  I've gone for bigger names, which scares me more; hoping they won't have me blacklisted by the time this is done.  "Don't even open her query letters - she's insane!"

The planning for Fae City has been temporarily suspended while I dedicate more time to querying agents and planning book two of the Memoirs of Daniel series, Nephilim Twins.  'Course, that's only the working title. Knowing me, it'll change three or four times while being written.

I'm also beta reading a fabulous story called Scarlet, written by Angie Lockett.  If you're interested, you can check out her blog  +here  Scarlet is a very gripping novel that will have historical fiction lovers on the edge of their seats from beginning to end.
